
We’ve established long term relationships with growers and suppliers from around the world. Whenever possible, we use HACCP or ISO certified suppliers. Regardless, Compass sets strict product specs for each supplier including grade, size, colour, moisture, microbiological specifications, defects and more. Our suppliers must adhere to an effective allergen control program. Before shipping, all testing must pass the established standards. A Certificate of Analysis accompanies every shipment.
Our QA department reviews each Certificate of Analysis upon arrival at Compass. Each shipment is inspected through random sampling. Random testing is conducted through a 3rd party laboratory to ensure the specifications and Canadian Food and Drug Act regulations are satisfied.
Food safety is our top priority. Our facility is peanut-free and temperature controlled. Our employees undergo annual training to ensure our standards are never compromised. Although it is not mandatory, we are working toward HACCP certification.
We test the finished products to ensure weight, packaging, and film meet our customers’ specifications. Since we “own” the process from supplier to packaging, we can trace any problem back to its source for resolution.
We go to the four corners of the Earth to get our products. Regardless of the origin of our products, their freshness is always guaranteed.
